Local app records
Projects, counters, count history, yarn and tool details, notes, elapsed timer records, selected photos, imported PDFs and saved page positions remain in private local app storage. The app does not send project records to the developer. There is no app account, developer backend, tracking, advertising or analytics SDK.
Photos and files
The system photo and file pickers supply only items you select. Photos are resized JPEG copies up to 1,600 pixels without source location metadata. Imported PDFs retain original content and metadata. Cloud-only imports may need internet. Reference links open Craft Yarn Council webpages under that site's own policies; no endorsement or pattern license is implied.
Exports and sharing
CSV contains project, counter, material and note information but not attachments. Complete .loopledger backups include projects, photos and pattern PDFs. Files are not password protected. Exported timer snapshots are paused and restored timers do not start automatically. Share PDFs and backups only with appropriate rights. Files are sent only to destinations you choose, which handle them under their own policies. We cannot recall external copies.
Backups and restore
Restore validates a complete backup, saves a local before-restore recovery copy and replaces rather than merges the current library. Export a complete backup outside the app before uninstalling or changing devices. Apple device backups and Files providers follow your settings and their own policies. The app does not automatically synchronize your records.
Retention and deletion
Records remain until deleted or replaced. Deleting local records does not remove exports, before-restore copies or device backups. Uninstalling removes private local data and recovery copies. Manage external copies separately. Temporary exports may remain until removed by the system or app removal.
Voluntary support email
If you email support, we receive your email address and information you choose to send and use them to answer your request, not for marketing or tracking. Gmail handles this correspondence. Avoid sending private notes, files or complete backups unless necessary and you choose to share them. Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations; contact the same address to request deletion.
Purchases and website
Apple handles the one-time App Store purchase and platform diagnostics under its own policies. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases, and the app does not receive payment-card details. This website has no account, advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

Changes in data practices will be reflected in this dated policy, in-app information and App Store privacy details.
