Common questions
Is the app available yet?
The first release is being prepared. We will add the official App Store link when available.
Does it require an account?
No. Core records and exports work offline. Cloud-only imports, support email and online sharing may need internet. There is no automatic cloud sync.
How do I add a sample?
Settings > Add example project > Add example preserves existing projects. It adds a generic Weekend scarf record and counters, not knitting instructions.
How do counters work?
Open a project and use plus/minus. Undo reverses recent count changes; lock disables counter changes. Edit counter sets count, target, repeat length and check-in notes. Up to 12 counters can be kept per project.
How do I import and read a PDF?
Project actions > Edit project > Choose PDF, then Save. Open the imported filename from Pattern to browse pages with a compact counter. Use a PDF you have the right to access.
Does the timer run in the background?
Elapsed time follows the device clock, including background time. Only one project timer is active; starting another pauses the first. Backup timer snapshots and restored timers are paused.
What does the gauge tool calculate?
Tools scales your measured swatch to the desired width and rounds up to a complete stitch repeat plus edges. Centimeters and inches are supported. It does not calculate garment shaping or ease.
How do I export?
Settings offers Export project CSV and Export complete backup. Only a complete .loopledger backup restores the library, including selected photos and imported PDFs.
Does restore merge records?
No. A validated backup replaces local data after a recovery copy. Export a complete backup before uninstalling or changing devices. PDFs and CSV files cannot restore the app library.
What devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. The initial release is not offered on Mac or Apple Vision Pro.
Who handles purchases and refunds?
Apple handles App Store purchases and refund eligibility. Visit Apple's Report a Problem website.
