Is the app available yet?
The first version is being prepared for App Review. A public App Store link will be added when the app is available.
Does it work offline?
Core records, charts, PDF and CSV exports and complete backups work on your device. Cloud-only photo imports, support email and sharing through online services may need internet. There is no app account or automatic cloud sync.
How do I add example records?
Open Settings > Add sample tank > Add sample. Existing tanks are preserved. Example readings are fictional, not recommended targets or care advice.
What does a complete backup contain?
Settings > Export complete backup creates a .tankledger file with every tank, reading, maintenance entry, task, preference and photo. Save it outside the app. It is not password protected. PDF and CSV exports cannot restore the journal.
Does restore combine journals?
No. Restore replaces the local journal after checking the backup. A local before-restore copy is made when the journal is not empty. Export recovery copies too, because uninstalling removes them.
Can the app read test strips or advise dosing?
No. You enter readings and units yourself. The app does not diagnose livestock health, calculate safe limits, recommend dosing or control equipment. Follow your test-kit instructions and appropriate professional advice.
Are units converted automatically?
Only temperature is converted between Celsius and Fahrenheit in charts. Other readings stay grouped by their original units and chemical basis. Tank volume is a recorded label; changing its unit does not convert the number.
When are care reminders delivered?
Enable notifications in Settings and turn on a task reminder. Future reminders are scheduled at 9 AM on the recorded due date. The nearest 60 are queued. Reopen the app after changing time zones or to refresh the queue. System permission and Focus settings affect delivery.
What happens when I mark a task done?
A maintenance entry is added and the next due date starts from the completion day plus the interval you entered. Deleting the completion log does not move the task date backward.
Are original photos kept?
Imported images become resized JPEG copies up to 2,000 pixels, without source GPS metadata. Keep original photos separately. Each entry supports up to 12 photos.
What devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. The first release is not offered on Mac or Apple Vision Pro.
Who handles purchases and refunds?
Apple handles App Store purchases and determines refund eligibility. Visit Apple's Report a Problem website for purchase support.
