Local app records
Formulas, flour blends, schedule steps, bake snapshots, completion times, observations, ratings, room temperatures, preferences and selected photos are stored in private local app storage. The app does not upload these records to the developer. There is no app account, developer backend, tracking, advertising or analytics SDK.
Photos and files
Photos use Apple's system picker, not an in-app camera or a full-library scan. The app saves resized JPEG copies up to 1,600 pixels and does not retain source location metadata in those copies. Keep original photos separately. Cloud-only photo imports may need internet.
Local notifications
Optional bake and fold check-ins use local notifications after permission and opt-in. Generic notification text omits bake names and notes. The nearest 60 future check-ins are queued; reopen to refresh. Delivery depends on iOS permission and Focus settings. There are no remote push notifications.
Exports and sharing
Bake-sheet PDFs omit photos by default, but contain the formula, schedule and notes. Journal CSV is a reference export, not a restorable backup. Complete .crumbplan backups include formulas, bakes, notes and photos. Exports and backups are not password protected; inspect every file before sharing. Files are sent only to destinations you choose, which handle them under their own policies. We cannot recall external copies.
Backups and restore
Restore validates a complete backup, saves a local before-restore recovery copy and replaces rather than merges the current library. Export a complete backup outside the app before uninstalling or changing devices. Apple device backups and Files providers follow your settings and their own policies. The app does not automatically synchronize your records.
Retention and deletion
Records remain until deleted or replaced. Deleting local records does not remove exports, before-restore copies or device backups. Uninstalling removes private local data and recovery copies. Manage external copies separately. Temporary exports may remain until removed by the system or app removal.
Voluntary support email
If you email support, we receive your email address and information you choose to send and use them to answer your request, not for marketing or tracking. Gmail handles this correspondence. Avoid sending private notes, files or complete backups unless necessary and you choose to share them. Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations; contact the same address to request deletion.
Purchases and website
Apple handles the one-time App Store purchase and platform diagnostics under its own policies. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases, and the app does not receive payment-card details. This website has no account, advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
