Local vehicle records
Vehicle names, make and model, optional VIN and license plate, odometer readings, maintenance plans, service history, costs, parts, notes, photos and PDF receipts remain in private app storage on your device. There is no app account or developer-operated garage server. The app has no advertising, tracking or analytics SDK and does not upload these records to us.
Photos and receipts
The system photo picker supplies only images you select. Camera permission is requested when you choose to take a photo. Imported photos are resized to a maximum of 2,000 pixels and re-encoded as JPEG without source location metadata. PDF receipts retain their original contents and may contain personal information or metadata. Cloud-only files and photos may need internet to import. Keep originals separately.
Optional notifications
Date reminders use local notifications after you grant permission and enable a plan reminder. Generic text does not identify the vehicle or service details on the lock screen. The nearest 60 future date reminders are queued for 9 AM. Mileage is checked against readings you enter, not measured automatically. Reopen after time-zone changes or to refresh the queue. iOS permission, Focus and notification settings affect delivery. No remote push service receives your plans.
Exports and sharing
Service-book PDFs omit VIN, license plate and photos by default; you can opt in. Notes, shop names and part details can still contain personal information. Original PDF receipts are not embedded in service-book PDFs. Service-history CSV excludes the VIN and license plate fields but includes notes and parts. Complete .motorfolio backups contain all vehicle identifiers, plans, history and attachments. These files are not encrypted or password protected by the app. Review exports before sharing; the destination you select handles them under its own policy.
Restore and backups
A complete backup can restore the garage; PDF and CSV exports cannot. Restore replaces rather than merges the local garage, after saving a local before-restore recovery copy. Export backups outside the app before uninstalling or replacing a device. Apple device backups may include app data depending on your settings. The app does not provide automatic cloud synchronization.
Retention and deletion
Records remain until deleted or replaced. Archiving preserves history and removes the vehicle from active reminders. Deleting a vehicle removes its active local records and attachments, not previously exported files, recovery copies or system backups. Uninstalling removes local records and recovery copies. Manage external copies in the destinations where you saved them. Temporary exports may remain until cleared by the system or app removal.
Support email
If you voluntarily email support, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use correspondence to answer your request, not for marketing, advertising or tracking. Gmail handles support email. Avoid sending private vehicle records or complete backups unless necessary and you choose to share them. Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations. Contact support to request deletion.
Purchases and this website
Apple handles App Store purchases and platform diagnostics under its own policies. The app does not receive payment card details and has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. This website has no account, advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and protect it. Email links open your mail app without uploading your garage.
