Is the app available yet?
The first release is being prepared for App Review. We will add a public App Store link when it becomes available.
Does it work offline?
Vehicle records, maintenance plans, service-book PDFs, CSV exports and complete backups work on your device. Cloud-only imports, email and online sharing destinations may need internet. There is no app account or automatic cloud sync.
How do I add example records?
Open Settings > Add sample vehicle > Add sample. Existing records are preserved. The sample vehicle and service intervals are fictional, not maintenance recommendations.
How are service plans calculated?
Enter your own baseline and calendar-month or distance interval, or both. When both are set, either threshold can make a plan due. Recording a linked completed service recalculates the next due date and distance. Editing or deleting that completion recalculates the plan too. Consult the schedule for your actual vehicle.
Does the app read my odometer?
No. Enter mileage manually. The app does not use GPS, connect to OBD hardware, diagnose faults, check recalls or certify vehicle condition. Odometer replacement and rollover are not supported.
Can I switch miles to kilometers?
Choose the distance unit when creating a vehicle. It is locked once that vehicle has readings, services or plans. The app does not silently convert recorded history.
What files can I attach?
A service can contain up to 12 photo or PDF attachments. Photos are resized JPEG copies. PDF receipts must be unlocked, have 1 to 100 pages and be no larger than 20 MB. Keep originals separately.
What is included in a service book?
Recorded vehicle details, history, plans, costs, parts and notes. VIN, license plate and photos are off by default. Notes and shop names can still disclose private information. Original PDF receipts are not embedded; share them separately when appropriate.
What does a complete backup include?
Settings > Export complete backup creates a .motorfolio file with all vehicle identifiers, readings, services, plans, preferences and attachments. It is not password protected. Save it outside the app. PDF and CSV exports cannot restore the garage.
Does restore merge garages?
No. Restore checks the backup, saves a local recovery copy and replaces the garage. Recovery copies also disappear when the app is uninstalled, so export them separately.
When are reminders delivered?
Enable notifications in Settings and opt in on a date-based plan. Future reminders are scheduled at 9 AM. The nearest 60 are queued. Reopen the app after time-zone changes or to refresh the queue. Mileage-only plans do not produce automatic mileage notifications.
Are different currencies combined?
No. Costs are totaled separately by currency. A missing cost stays unknown; zero is a real recorded amount. There is no currency conversion, invoicing or tax calculation.
What devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. The first release is not offered on Mac or Apple Vision Pro.
Who handles purchases and refunds?
Apple handles App Store purchases and determines refund eligibility. Visit Apple's Report a Problem website for purchase support.
